Once upon a time, in the sun-drenched, orange-juiced, and gator-graced state of Florida, there existed a tribe of some pretty hip kids. These weren't your ordinary, run-of-the-mill video game-addicted, soda-guzzling, indoor dwelling kiddos. No sir! These were the Floridian Yoga Warriors, and they could bend and stretch like human pretzels! Their leader was a cool, wisecracking flamingo named Fred. Fred was a sight to behold, standing on one leg in his trend-setting neon-green yoga pants, leading the kids through the most impressive, mind-boggling yoga poses. "Remember, young warriors," Fred would chirp, "when in doubt, Downward Facing Dog it out!" These funky Yoga Warriors could be spotted just about anywhere in Florida. Maybe on the sandy shores of Miami Beach, striking a Warrior pose as the Atlantic Ocean waves crashed behind them. Or in the middle of Orlando, tree-posing among the clamor and excitement of the theme parks. They could even be found in the Everglades, balancing in Boat pose among the mangroves while the curious alligators watched on. Fred and his vibrant tribe of Floridian Yoga Warriors were a testament to the magic of the Sunshine State. Not only could these kids twist into shapes that would make a pretzel jealous, but they also radiated an infectious joy that was as bright and warm as the Florida sun. Yoga was not just an activity for these kids—it was their superpower. They were the living, breathing, giggling proof that with a dash of fun, a sprinkle of imagination, and a flamingo named Fred, anything is possible. Even standing on your head in the middle of the Everglades!

Give your child the opportunity to learn a unique Olympic sport while building confidence, focus, coordination, discipline, and strategic thinking at ALLE Fencing Club in Fort Lauderdale. ALLE Fencing Club specializes in saber fencing and welcomes students from beginners discovering the sport for the first time to experienced young athletes preparing for regional and national competitions. Youth beginner classes introduce children ages 6–12 to the fundamentals of fencing, including saber handling, footwork, distance control, fencing etiquette, sportsmanship, coordination, focus, and basic rules. Junior programs are available for ages 12+ and help students progress toward competitive fencing. With experienced coaches and a supportive training environment, students develop both physical and mental skills while learning a sport that challenges them to think quickly, move confidently, and make strategic decisions. Advanced and Elite programs provide additional training for experienced fencers interested in tournaments and high-level competition. ALLE Fencing Club also offers private lessons for personalized instruction and skill development, as well as beginner-focused fencing camps that combine fencing activities with teamwork, confidence-building, focus, and fun.

Bittersweet Studios is the first co-ed aerial arts and fitness studio in Jacksonville that caters to clients of all ages and sizes. We provide a wide range of strength training, cardio, dance, and specialized aerial arts instruction, including pole fitness, aerial silks, aerial hammock yoga, lyra/hoop, trapeze, flexibility, acrobatics, and bungee fitness. We have something for everyone, from young aerialists to adults. We also host workshops and a winter/summer camp each year with industry professionals. At our university, the Field House was recently completed in October 2015 as a total renovation of the Aquatic Center. The $5.1 million, 26,000 sq. ft. facility is located conveniently between the Student Wellness Complex and Arena on the north end of campus. The Field House provides an excellent space for our university's Intramural Sports program, where all indoor sports take place. It is also the hub for informal recreation such as basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, badminton and pickleball. Students can take advantage of the Field House and its many recreational activities for hours of fun and enjoyment. Our university's Field House is a great resource for students and the community. It is a place for both competitive sports and recreational activities. With the completion of the renovation, the Field House has become a true asset to our university and a great addition to the campus.
