The Parks and Recreation Commission is responsible for keeping the town’s recreational areas and facilities up to date, as well as overseeing recreational activities that are not sponsored by the Board of Education. Preschool Playgroup

The East Granby Farms Recreation Building is transformed into a giant playroom that allows your child(ren) to safely explore and play with other children while you chat and connect with other caregivers. Free play time includes the gross and fine motor, sensory, and pretend play activities, as well as the chance for creativity with a simple process-based art project. After free play, the groups come together for a short circle time, where our facilitator reads a story and leads the group in songs, finger play rhymes, or movement.

Tiny Dancers Tap & Ballet (Ages 3-4)

This is the perfect combination class for tiny dancers. Ballet promotes coordination, grace, balance, and correct body alignment. Tap dance develops a sense of rhythm, timing, and musical awareness. These fun classes are a well-rounded introduction to dance.

Mini Tumblers (Ages 4-7)

The class will teach basic acrobatic moves, working on fine and gross motor skills and coordination. Students will increase their flexibility and strength and will learn a variety of basic beginner tricks.
