Nutty is always up to some nutty adventures, and his mishaps often find their way into the stories crafted by the Knights of the Pencil. They can transform a rainy day into an epic tale of battling sea monsters or a trip to the grocery store into an exciting quest for the last box of cookies. Nestled in 178 acres of lush woodland is a serene escape from the city, a place fondly known as Camp Swamp. This overnight Christian camp, located just two hours east of bustling Atlanta, has been serving as a peaceful retreat since 1992. We like to think of it as our own "little slice of heaven," offering a respite from the daily hustle and bustle, and inviting people to reconnect with nature and their spirituality. Our primary offering is a week-long summer camp, but we've expanded over the years to include more than just summer fun. As part of our mission to support families and churches, we now also host three family camps throughout the year, as well as four parent/child retreats. These events offer a chance for families to bond, parents to connect with their children, and individuals to grow in their faith. Moreover, our facilities are not exclusive to our organized events. Camp Swamp also offers rentals to schools, churches, universities, sports teams, and even business groups. Whether you're planning a camp, a retreat, or a team-building excursion, our serene setting and well-equipped facilities provide the ideal backdrop for an unforgettable experience.

Through the hard work and dedication of the theater’s team, a summer camp and classes in theater arts have been added, reviving a tradition of family theater that was established many years ago. Now, families can experience positive entertainment and involvement while watching their children grow in terms of self-confidence, artistic expression and teamwork. East Lyme Regional Theater is dedicated to building community and enriching lives through the arts. With the addition of a summer camp and classes in theater arts, the theater is now able to resume the former East Lyme Arts Council and East Lyme Children’s Theater’s tradition of family theater. This program will provide an amazing opportunity to families, allowing them to watch their children develop and flourish with the help of self-confidence, artistic expression and teamwork, all while providing positive family entertainment and involvement. At East Lyme Regional Theater, the vision is to create an environment where families can come together to be enriched and inspired by the arts. With the expansion project now underway, families can now be a part of this wonderful program, giving their children the opportunity to explore and develop their talents and skills in the arts.
