About Lion Country Safari

Lion Country Safari first opened its gates in 1967. It is believed to be the first cageless zoo in the United States, bringing the experience of an African safari from the wild to Florida families. South Florida’s tropical climate, plentiful land, and growing population have proven to be a perfect location for this park. Plus, with tourists visiting from all over the world, Lion Country Safari has become a successful attraction. Families can explore the park in their own car or on foot, and even camp overnight in the award-winning KOA campground.

EDUCATIONAL SCHOOL PROGRAMS

EDUCATIONAL SCHOOL PROGRAMS ARE STEM COMPLIANT, FOLLOW N.G.S.S.S., AND ARE ONLY AVAILABLE SEPTEMBER THROUGH MAY. -Available on weekdays only; program start times are available between 9:30AM and 10:30AM. -All Programs and Labs are STEM compliant and follow Next Generation Sunshine State Standards. -Educational programs are free for schools and non-profit groups that have a minimum of 50 paying participating students (ages 3 and over).* A $100 deposit is required to hold your program booking and will be credited towards your admission on the day of your visit. -Programs are $100.00 for groups with less than 50 students. -Hands-On STEM labs are $125.00 for any school or non-profit group. Labs have a maximum of 50 students per session.

SCOUT PROGRAMS

-Programs are available during the months of September through May and on weekends ONLY. -Scout programs are $100.00. -Scouts BSA programs (merit badge) are $175.00. Scouts BSA programs are taught by certified merit badge counselors that can sign off on the assignment.- -Programs and workshops are for scouts and leaders ONLY. Parents and siblings are welcome to visit; however, we ask that they enjoy our walk-through adventure park during the program or workshop session.

VIRTUAL PROGRAMS

Virtual STEM school programs are available for grades k-12 as well as virtual animal encounter.
