Music Together is an age-appropriate music program designed for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarteners, along with the adults who love them. This unique program was first introduced in 1987 and has since become internationally recognized. It was the first of its kind to emphasize research-based, developmental music education that encourages and supports adult involvement. Music Together classes are centered around the idea that all children can learn to make music, as long as they are in a positive and supportive environment. The program focuses on music-making, instead of just listening to music from CDs or television. At the heart of Music Together is the idea that children learn best with the support and guidance of parents or caregivers. To reinforce this, Music Together creates an engaging musical environment both in the classroom and at home. It allows families to take part in musical activities together, during daily life.
