About YMCA Camp Burgess for Boys

Since 1928, Camp Burgess has been offering summer experiences to boys ages seven to sixteen. Located on beautiful Spectacle Pond, Cape Cod, Camp Burgess is a great place for boys to gain new skills, make lasting friendships, and take part in exciting outdoor activities. Parents can rest assured that their children are in good hands with Camp Burgess. Each summer, the camp is staffed by experienced and enthusiastic counselors and directors who are dedicated to ensuring that campers have the best experience possible. With a focus on providing a safe, secure, and positive environment, Camp Burgess offers a wide variety of activities for campers to enjoy, including swimming, boating, archery, and much more. Camp Burgess is also proud to be the sister camp of Camp Hayward, a camp founded in 1960. Both camps offer a unique and memorable experience to their campers, and the two camps often work together to create a fun and engaging atmosphere for all of the campers. Whether your child is looking for a one or two-week session, Camp Burgess is sure to provide the perfect summer adventure.

ALL ABOUT TRIPS

Adventure Trips offers 1 and 2 week overnight trips during the summer months for youth ages 12-16. We offer many different trips with a variety of focuses, ranging from surfing to scuba diving to chilling on Cape Cod.

CAPE COD ADVENTURE CAMP

This program is commonly referred to as our “Adventure Trips Sampler”. During Cape Cod Adventure Camp, you will have the opportunity to take part in exciting activities and explore the best parts of Cape Cod. On this trip, we’ll spend a day biking on the Shining Sea Trail, walking around Woods Hole, and going for a dip in the ocean. We’ll go paddling on one of Cape Cod’s many waterways, admire the sand dunes at the Cape Cod National Sea Shore, and explore Provincetown. We’ll take a surf lesson on Cape Cod’s National Seashore and enjoy dinner on the beach.

SUMMER CAMP

South Shore YMCA Camp Burgess and Hayward has been a leader in Massachusetts camping for over 90 years. Located on Cape Cod just one hour south of Boston in the historic town of Sandwich, the brother-sister camps are situated on over 300 acres of forests, meadows and sparkling freshwater ponds. With one and two-week sessions, Camp Burgess & Hayward have programs for boys and girls ages 7-16.
