About Medfield Afterschool Program

The Medfield Afterschool Program (MAP) has been providing quality care to children enrolled in the Medfield Public Schools since 1989. This parent-based non-profit is fully licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care and offers care for children ages 4 and those in Kindergarten through 6th grade. The MAP is designed to be a less structured environment than a regular school day, to foster each child’s need for relaxation, quiet time, an environment for homework, and a supportive atmosphere. Children enrolled in the program can participate in various enrichment activities to enhance their interests, talents, and values. MAP is committed to providing an enjoyable and safe environment for each child. Parents can have peace of mind knowing that their children are in an environment that is tailored to meet their individual needs.

JUMP START MAP

Our Jump Start MAP program is an enriching option for 4 and 5 year old children designed to enhance your child's preschool experience.

KINDERGARTEN - FIRST GRADE

At MAP, the enriching social, experiential and learning opportunities that are provided by our experienced educators, nicely complements and enhances the kindergarten & first grade day. With the MA Curriculum frameworks, educators choose topics, themes, projects, clubs, and activities, that build upon their knowledge base and expanding their learning. In addition, we have the time to allow children to learn in a more hands-on and fully involved way. We reach all different learning styles by presenting material in a variety of fun and exciting ways! In thinking of the whole child, there is a planned balance of structured learning, play, utilization of teachable moments, opportunities to answer and expand upon their questions and interests, and their ability to choose areas and activities that interest them.
