Our dance year runs from September to June, allowing your child to be immersed in a challenging yet rewarding world. We emphasize development of coordination, poise, perception, self-esteem, and physical & mental discipline in a fun and inclusive environment. Ballet

As the foundation of all dance styles, ballet helps to develop base dance techniques. This class will help students improve posture, flexibility, balance, strength and coordination. Dancers will learn classical ballet technique and terminology through barre exercises, center floor work and across-the-floor combinations. As students progress through each level, the curriculum will become more complex and intricate.

Musical theater

Musical theater class will focus on learning proper dance techniques will exploring the various dance styles used in Broadway shows. Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with broadway style jazz movements. Dancers will develop their ability to portray characters through music and movement using music from popular broadway and film musicals. Emphasis is placed on facial expressions and nuances in musicality and movement that enhance the theatrical dance.

Creative movement

The creative movement teaches our youngest students how to explore music through movement and dance. This class works to develop gross motor skills, rhythm, coordination and balance, and simple ballet elements in a fun, creative safe environment! Using props such as hole hula hoops, scarves, mats, bean bags and balance objects, this class introduces young dancers to basic body awareness and problem-solving while developing confidence and a long-lasting love for dance

Tap

Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, style, and song. Students will learn a variety of tap styles from Broadway to rhythm tap. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knees and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. The class emphasizes developing proper tap techniques, producing clear tap sounds, and having fun. As students progress, the curriculum becomes more intricate and complex
