At Dance Studio, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to express themselves through dance. We offer classes in jazz, hip hop, ballet, contemporary, break dance, musical theater, tap, Acrobatics, and baby-and-me early childhood classes. Our experienced instructors strive to provide high-quality instruction that builds confidence in every student. We also offer specialized adaptive dance classes tailored to the needs of children ages 2-10 with disabilities. We understand that dancing can have a profound impact on a child’s social, emotional, and physical development. Through our classes, we strive to help each student develop a growth mindset, teamwork, and creativity while having fun and expressing themselves. Intro to Ballet & Ballet FUNdamentals

Offered to children 3.5-5 years Intro to Ballet & Ballet FUNdamentals are both full year, drop-off clases that arre structured but full of fun and creative movement-based activities for preschool and kindergarten aged dancers. With emphasis on musicality and coordination, these are the perfect intro-to-dance classes. Dancers will gain flexibility, basic technique, and self-confidence through repetitive motor skill, coordination and rhythm practice. Students will perform one dance in The Dance Academy’s end of the year performance!

Intro to Hip Hop

Offered to children 4-5 years Intro to Hip Hop is a full year, drop-off class that is structured but full of fun and funky activities for young dancers. With emphasis on musicality and coordination, Intro to Hip Hop helps dancers to gain flexibility, basic technique, style, and self-confidence through repetitive motor skill, coordination and rhythm practice. Students will perform one dance in The Dance Academy’s end of the year performance!

Combo

Our Combo Classes are thoughtfully designed for dancers ages 5-6 (Combo 1) and 7-8 (Combo 2). These classes teach children the beginning fundamentals of ballet, tap, jazz, and tumbling. Dancers will gain flexibility, basic technique, and self-confidence through repetitive motor skill, coordination and rhythm practice. Students will perform two dances in The Dance Academy’s end of the year performance!

Jazz

Jazz class focuses on learning proper jazz technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality, and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street, and Contemporary Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movement. The class structure includes a warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and dance combinations.
