At SkateHive, we’re dedicated to making our community a better place. We do this by focusing on one skater at a time. Whether it’s lending a helping hand to a new skater or providing guidance and support to an experienced one, we’re here to help. We believe that skateboarding can bring people together and create stronger communities. That’s why we’re committed to supporting skaters of all ages and backgrounds. From providing instruction and advice to hosting events, we strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. At SkateHive, we’re passionate about improving our community one skater at a time. We’re here to help all skaters, from beginners to pros, feel supported and connected with their peers. Through our events and guidance, we’re dedicated to creating an environment where everyone can come together to enjoy the sport of skateboarding.

STEP 1 : LEARN TO SKATE

TOT (4-6 yrs) & YOUTH (6-15 yrs) For skaters with little or no formal skating experience and/or instruction, Step 1: Learn to Skate introduces participants to ice skating in a fun and comfortable group setting. Step 1 classes are 25 minutes long. Instructors use age appropriate fun to help skaters acclimate to the ice and learn a foundation of basic skating skills and skating safety.

HOCKEY STEP 1

Hockey Step 1 is for skaters age 5 and up with no formal skating experience or instruction, or, participants who have completed at least Step 1 of the FMC curriculum and wish to play hockey. This class introduces participants to hockey skating in a fun, group setting.

Figure Skating Classes

Welcome to the figure skating division for FMC Ice Sports. Our figure skating progression begins with Learn to Skate and then continues in the FMC Skating Club Group class. From there, we introduce specialized figure skating classes. Available in select locations, these programs supplement a skater's learning in a variety of ways and are intended to be taken in addition to a class or private instruction. As skaters continue through the progression, figure skating classes focus on specific aspects of skating to help skaters to develop them.
