About Plymouth Family Network

Families in the Plymouth area now have access to a fantastic new service - the Plymouth Family Network (PFN). Funded by the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE) grant from the MA Department of Early Education and Care through the Title 1 Department of the Plymouth Public Schools, PFN provides a range of support services to families with young children and expectant parents. Through PFN, families can access a range of referral services, helping them to find a suitable preschool or childcare. Early screenings are also available, as are free playgroups and various parent enrichment opportunities. With PFN, Plymouth families can now get the help they need to ensure their children get the best possible start in life.

Kinship Care
The role of grandparents and family caregivers has drastically changed in the last twenty years. Grandparents/family caregivers today play a critical role in raising children and providing support to our families. Many of them are the ‘glue’ that keep families moving forward. Grandparents/family caregivers support their families through childcare, sharing parenting responsibilities or providing full time parenting to their grandchildren.

Supporting children and adults with disabilities and the families who love them, along with adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in partnership with the MA Department of Developmental Services (DDS). ​

Child Care Program
The Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) publishes a searchable directory of licensed early education and care programs in Massachusetts to assist families in finding a provider for their child or children. The EEC licenses child care programs in Massachusetts. There are two types of licensed child care programs:
