Saturday mornings are their battle times, the local school's grassy field their arena. Leading this army of cheerful warriors is the mighty and majestic, yet funny and fickle, General Whiskers. Don't let his name fool you! General Whiskers is no ordinary human. He is a gigantic, talking squirrel with a belly full of giggles and a tail swishing with strategies. He has a deep, hearty laugh that echoes across the field, making even the grumpiest umpire crack a smile. He's known for his nutty tactics and the children absolutely adore him. Under the watchful eye of General Whiskers, Maine’s field hockey kids learn more than just how to play the game. They learn about camaraderie, sportsmanship, and of course, the key skill of dodging a flying acorn, courtesy of their mischievous coach.
