At Ballet Conservatory of Asheville (BCA), we are dedicated to helping our students reach their full potential as dancers. We offer weekly technique classes, master classes with renowned guest faculty, and multiple performance opportunities for all ages. Our classes include ballet, pointe, partnering, men’s class, tap, Broadway jazz, and modern for both children and adults. We also offer our celebrated pre-professional division. Throughout the year, we offer several performance opportunities. Our annual Nutcracker, Winter Works: Variations & Innovations, a full-length Spring ballet, our Spring recital, and Summer Intensive Showcase are all popular events. We also host open classes, children’s workshops, and our month-long, ballet Summer Intensive, which draws talented students from all over the country. At Ballet Conservatory of Asheville (BCA), we strive to provide our students with the best dance education and training available. Our varied classes, master classes with renowned guest faculty, and numerous performance opportunities help to create a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere for all of our dancers.

Pre-professional Division

Ballet Conservatory’s Pre-professional Division trains more than 50 dancers annually, age 10-20, in five progressive levels in weekly ballet and modern classes, and performance rehearsals for our full-length classical ballets, plus neo-classical and contemporary world-premieres created on them for our annual ‘Winter Works’ production. Summer Intensive

Ballet Conservatory’s Summer Intensive draws students from around the United States and beyond to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, for 4-weeks of elevated training with world-class faculty; guests and our own team. Meet our faculty. Recent summer guest- faculty include NYC Ballet’s Daniel Ulbricht, Broadway/Milwaukee Ballet’s Nick Kepley, ABT/Twyla Tharpe/Broadway’s John Selya, plus Paris Opera Ballet’s Karen Averty, NYC Ballet’s Amanda Edge, SAB/Pacific Northwest Ballet’s Matthew Powell, Indiana University/Eglevsky Ballet’s Michael Vernon. Advanced, Intermediate & Beginner four-week course. Rigorous training & small class sizes, for dedicated ballet students. Daily classes include: Ballet Technique, Pointe, Variations, Partnering, Boys Class, Modern, Jazz, Pilates, Yoga. Housing & scholarships available. Excursions in the beautiful Asheville area.
