Their leader is a feisty, freckled 10-year-old named Jazzy Jersey (yes, Jersey is his last name, cool right?). Jazzy's got a black belt in karate and a heart full of Garden State pride. He can chop a board in half with just his little finger and his side-splitting jokes are legendary across the state. These Karate Kids don't just toss around punches and kicks like they're on sale at the local grocery store. Oh no! They balance their rigorous training with epic pizza parties, epic beach days, and yes, even epic gardening (because they are from the Garden State after all!). They have a knack for turning every karate lesson into a comedy show. Let's just say their karate instructor, Mr. Chop Chop, has learned the hard way that sometimes a laugh can pack a harder punch than a karate chop. In New Jersey, the kids are tougher than the turnpike, funnier than a comedy club, and cooler than a Jersey freeze pop on a hot summer day. Between the karate and the laughter, these kids are learning to be kind, brave, and just a little bit silly. The US Engineering League is a prominent nationwide establishment that passionately supports STEM-focused education. Since our inception in 2018, we have been the proud USA National Office for the acclaimed World Robot Olympiad, a global robotics competition that has over 35,000 participants from more than 80 countries. In addition to robotics, our educational offerings span across various STEM sectors such as coding, eSports, engineering, science and more. We're delighted to be connected with several of the most prominent STEM competition organizations. Our primary learning center is nestled in the heart of Naperville, IL. However, we understand the importance of accessibility and have therefore expanded our reach. Hanshi Errol Sana Bennett is a eight degree black belt, has studied martial arts for over 50 years under Kaicho Nakamura, Grand Master and founder of the World Seido Karate Organization. Before moving to New Jersey, Hanshi co-founded youth programs, developed after-school programs. designed demonstrations and instructed karate lessons at the NYC Vanderbilt and West Side YMCA, APEX Gym, Golds Gym and the New York Sports Club in Manhattan. In 1995, Hanshi and his family moved to New Jersey. Hanshi continued to teach in NYC. Because of the daily commute and long hours away from his family, Hanshi decided to open a karate school near his home. In October of 1997, he opened the doors to Sana Seido Karate in Garwood, New Jersey. Hanshi was determined to build a family of Karate students in this new location.
