Tennis Camp

At Windridge, we believe instilling a love of the game is key to success. We prioritize fun, and success for each camper in our tennis program. We focus on long-term development, emphasizing fundamental improvements to allow our players to reach simple, achievable goals. We are looking to develop their game and instill confidence in campers that will allow them to be successful on and off the tennis court, no matter the result. We believe each individual has their own set of strengths and weaknesses, and we help them identify, respond to, and correct their mistakes while building on what they do well. We work with our campers to better understand their own game and how to be a student of the game.

Golf Camp

Golf is a new major for Windridge. Sixteen campers (on a first-come, first-served basis) travel 5 minutes down the road to the Northfield Country Club, also owned by Ted Hoehn, and study and play golf for four periods each day. Eight campers will play each morning from 9-12 under the watchful eye of our golf staff. The second group of eight will be at the golf course from 2-5. To be considered a golf major, a camper must have played golf for at least a year and have a basic comprehension of the fundamentals and rules of the game. Campers who are beginners may still sign up for golf as an Elective for a period or two, but will mostly train on the practice fields on the Teela-Wooket campus.

Soccer Camp

Skills building is the essence of the Windridge soccer experience. Our program develops both technical and tactical skills. Small groups practice skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, trapping, and heading. Tactics are introduced to give purpose and direction to working with teammates. Campers look forward to putting their new skills to work on game days and in scrimmages and games with other camps and local clubs. Each session ends with an intra-camp tournament. Teela-Wooket has two regulation-size soccer fields, a large multi-purpose practice field, and a kickboard. Our "Soccer Mansion" provides an indoor area for equipment storage, strategy sessions, and video analysis on rainy days.

Horseback Riding

Classical English horseback riding has been taught at Teela-Wooket since 1913 and today’s campers enjoy a range of mounted activities such as show jumping, dressage, eventing, hunter trials, cross-country, pony club games, and trail riding in the beautiful mountains of Vermont. The emphasis for campers is on fun and skill development in the riding program, and the horses they ride are well-chosen to fit their personal needs and to keep them safe.
