Sir Leaf leads this pack of pint-sized swordsmen and swordswomen, known throughout the state as the "The Green Mountain Fencers." Leaf himself is as sharp as the foil he wields, and as quick as a squirrel darting up a tree. His spectacles, perched precariously on his freckled nose, lend him an air of wisdom beyond his years. The other kids swear they can see sparks fly from his eyes when he's planning a fancy fencing move. In Vermont, known for syrup and skiing, fencing is not the typical pastime. But don't let the peaceful scenery fool you. When the Green Mountain Fencers are about, the air crackles with excitement. Their fencing bouts are as thrilling and unpredictable as the Vermont weather itself. Nestled on 300 acres of serene landscape on the edge of the Green Mountain National Forest, Killooleet’s campus is a paradise for outdoor exploration. From the beautiful, flat grounds to the barn and private lake, the camp is the perfect place for kids and teens to explore, learn, and grow. Just twenty-five miles east of Middlebury and twenty-five miles south of Waitsfield, it’s easy for families to get to and from the camp. Killooleet has been providing a safe and supportive environment for children and teens to learn and grow for nearly a century. With its stunning grounds and nearby natural wonders, the camp is a perfect place for parents to send their kids for a summer of fun and adventure.
